This Los Angeles landmark that towers 1,134 feet above sea level atop Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park has had more than 75 million visitors since it opened in 1935. Griffith Observatory contains Samuel Oschin Planetarium, the 200-seat Leonard Nimov Event Horizon theater, the glass-walled Gottlieb Transit Corridor, public telescopes and numerous exhibits.
