The Henry Ford Museum is history, innovation and Americana all rolled into one. The museum's open-floor plan with 40-foot high ceilings allows for the exhibition of large-scale pieces like the Rosa Parks bus and John F. Kennedy's limousine, as well as a number of groundbreaking inventions such as the Dymaxian House, Buckminster Fuller's lighter and stronger domicile of the future, the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile and the very first helicopter. Car fiends should check out the exhibit Driving America, which takes visitors through the history of the automobile via eight interactive kiosks, vintage car displays and a drive-in theater.
