Take in the majestic view of the English Channel and look far to see the French coast on a clear day from the cliffs of the rugged English shoreline. The white chalk cliffs were formed during the Cretaceous Period and reach a height of 300 feet. Remnants of the sites' importance in defense during both world wars can still be seen including trenches and former base end stations. White Cliffs of Dover has the South Foreland Lighthouse, Shakespeare Cliff, the SS Falcon ship wreck, chalk grassland and the Langdon Convict Prison remains. Show All
