Built around a castle on the Vltava River, Cesky Krumlov dates back to the 13th century. Due to the town’s relatively peaceful history, much of its ancient architecture and city structure remains today – making it an authentic town from the Middle Ages and a World Heritage Site. Its streets are lined with burgher houses and radiate out from the central square. Visit the 15th century Church of St. Vitus, and see Budejovicka Gate, which remains from the city’s fortifications.
