This island utopia, also known as K’Gari by the native Butchulla, means Paradise. Fraser Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was created by thousands of years of sand drifting off the coast of Australia. Today it is the largest sand island in the world, and the only known place on the planet where tall rain forest are able to grow on sand dunes at elevations of over 200 meters.
