This legendary film-making mecca where dreams are made needs no introduction as its name is synonymous with timeless glamour, excitement and movie magic. Hollywood was incorporated in 1903 and then annexed by Los Angeles in 1910 making it a district of the city. Film studios began moving from the Eastern United States to Hollywood and the surrounding area soon after that. The first film made in Tinseltown was "In Old California" by Biograph Co. and the first film company to set up shop was The Nestor Co. in 1912 at a structure along Sunset Boulevard.
