The Canadian city of Kingston is located in Ontario, where the Lawrence River flows out of Lake Ontario/ It is situated between Montreal and Kingston, and was home to a fur trade and trading post that was established by European settlers in the 17th century. The city was named the first capital of the Province of Canada; and continues to be an important military installation. Kingston is also the home to many artists and hockey players - Kingston has claimed to be the birthplace of ice hockey. The city is the home to one of the longest continuing hockey team rivalries in the world, which dates back to a game between Queen's University and the Royal Military College in 1886. Show All
