The scenic clear blue lake in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range within the states of California and Nevada is North America's largest alpine lake and the second deepest in the United States. Many visitors come to Lake Tahoe for water sports, beach activities, skiing, hiking and bicycling. There are gambling establishments on the Nevada side of the lake that is surrounded by mountains and formed approximately two million years ago. Popular attractions are Emerald Bay, Cave Rock Tunnel, Secret Beach, Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park, Ehrman Mansion, Vikingsholm Castle, Tahoe Tessie's Lake Tahoe Monster Museum and Tahoe Amusement Park. National newspaper "USA Today" named Lake Tahoe "America's Best Lake" in 2012. Show All
