The beautiful California coastal city settled in 1875 is sometimes called "Butterfly Town U.S.A." because colorful Monarch butterflies migrate there every October. Pacific Grove also is known for its large collection of Victorian homes, historic downtown area and Asilomar State Beach. Other points of interest are Point Pinos Lighthouse, Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History, Stowitts Museum & Library, Monarch Grove Sanctuary, Pacific Grove Art Center, Perkins Park and Lover's Point Park.
