The 252-foot tall granite tower was constructed between 1907-10 to memorialize the Mayflower pilgrim arrival in Provincetown on Nov. 21, 1620 before moving on to Plymouth, Massachusetts. Willard T. Sears won a monument design contest and his sketch is influenced greatly by the Torre del Mangia in Siena, Italy. Visitors can reach the top after walking up 116 steps and 60 ramps.
