One of the few state capitols without a dome, this treasure of Nashville sits atop the sprawling green lawn of Victory Park. Designed by renowned architect William Strickland to model a Greek Ionic temple, the building is crafted from limestone quarried just one mile away. The capitol grounds are home to numerous monuments to important figures in Tennessee's history.
