This district of Los Angeles established in 1919 contains the University of California Los Angeles' 419-acre campus that opened in 1926. Westwood also features Westwood Village's stores, restaurants and iconic old movie theaters as well as the Hammer Museum. Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery contains the graves of many Hollywood legends including Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin, Eva Gabor, Farrah Fawcett, Merv Griffin, Gene Kelly, Janet Leigh and Natalie Wood.
