Itinerary

Today, travel to Drumheller Valley with us, where offers you a unique combination of spectacular scenery and interesting things to do. 

Horseshoe Canyon: A glacier-carved "U" surrounded by golden prairie, the aptly named Horseshoe Canyon is a dramatic introduction to the badlands. (stop for about 15 minutes)
 
Royal Tyrrell Museum (Optional): Features ten signature galleries devoted to palaeontology, with 40 dinosaur skeletons with more than 110000 fossil specimens. (stop for about 90 minutes)
 

● Little Church: This church was first erected by local contractor Trygve Seland, in cooperation with the ministerial Association in 1968 and was reconstructed by inmates of the Drumheller Institution in 1991. It was designed as a place of worship and mediation and not just a tourist attraction. (stop for about 15 minutes)

Suspension Bridge: Construction in 1931, the bridge was built for the coal workers of Star Mine. (approx. 20 mins)

Hoodoos: The Drumheller hoodoos are internationally recognized icons of the Alberta badlands. Composed of sand and clay from the Horseshoe Canyon Formation, the solid, strong capstones protect the softer, underlying base creating their unique mushroom-like shape. (stop for about 30 minutes)

* Return to Calgary and arrive around 17:00PM.
* Sightseeing points and stop time are subject to weather condition, If closed will replace by another sightseeing point.

  • Cancellation Policy:
    * 34 or more days prior to departure date: CAD$30 + GST per person will be charged;
    * Within 33 days prior to the departure date: NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-CHANGEABLE. 
    * Additional fees, including but not limited to associated credit card or wire transfer service charges, will be applied to any cancellation or amendment request. Cancellation policy will be applied to below modifications: reducing the number of travelers, and changing; optional admissions & group meal purchase, as well as amending extended hotel stay.
  • Please be ready at meeting location 5-10 minutes prior to the pick-up time as the tour will start on time. If you miss the bus, please meet us at the next pick-up location. Should there be any concerns, please contact us.

  • We highly recommend to check the weather forecast before your arrival because the temperature in the Rocky Mountains can drop dramatically at night.
  • Suggest to bring the warm coat and anti-slippery shoes.
  • Suggest to bring sunscreen and sun protection products due to high UV index in Canada. 
  • Suggest to bring toiletries since North America Hotels usually do not provide such amenities.
