Itinerary

Today, enjoy a fantastic tour to two of the most historic and fascinating attractions in Spain: the Seville Cathedral and Alcazar. With skip-the-line tickets we'll enjoy immediate access to both attractions without any delays. First we'll enter the Seville Cathedral, one of Seville's many famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a towering Gothic cathedral, the largest in the world! Over 500 years old, the cathedral extends back to the reclamation of Seville by Ferdinand III of Castile, who ordered the destruction of the Aljama Mosque and replaced it with the Cathedral. This extensive project developed into a massive complex composed of a central nave and four side aisles, all of which are lavishly decorated, but austere and restrained in layout and design. During our tour we will discover the largest and most lavish altarpiece in the world. We'll also see the keys presented to Fernando by the Jewish and Moorish communities upon the city's surrender. As you wander the halls you'll uncover the stunning craftsmanship that went into the design, from the stained-glass windows to the entrance to the Moorish minaret, La Giralda, now the cathedral's bell tower – well worth the climb to the top. Next, we'll travel to the famous Alcazar. Complete with skip-the-line tickets, we'll head directly into this amazing structure that inspired scenes from the hit HBO show Game of Thrones and learn all about the historical evolution of Seville and its importance as a religious, historical and cultural center. Travel back in time through the last millennium as you wander through the walls and gardens of the Alcazar, uncovering the blend of architectural styles from the Moorish period and late Middle Ages, through to Renaissance, Baroque and 19th century. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, the Alcazar has served as one of the chief examples of Seville's complex and diverse history. Travel along with our private guide and enjoy detailed explanations about the attraction's history and importance. Along the way you're bound to hear the legend of al-Mutamid, the 11th century monarch and poet from Seville, as well as some of the people that illuminated modern-day Spain around 1812. Take this chance to explore two of the most popular attractions in the world!
