Itinerary

Departing from Launceston, we'll head out to Cradle Mountain National Park, one of Tasmania's World Heritage Areas. With 5 hours to spend here and many hiking routes we'll have plenty to explore and see! Along the way we'll pass through the "Town of Murals," Sheffield. We'll stop for lunch here and get to discover a few of its 60+ murals depicting the region's natural beauty and history. Then we'll arrive at Cradle Mountain and the gorgeous Dove Lake. Our itinerary is flexible, giving you plenty of options on how to spend the day. Our experienced guides can lead you on a variety of nature walks around the stunning lake to gorgeous waterfalls and amazing forests. The key walks we regularly use include: • Weindorfer’s Forest Walk & Waldheim Chalet • Pencil Pine Falls Walk • Enchanted Walk • Knyvet Falls Walk • Dove Lake Circuit (2 hours – easy) • Marion’s Lookout (3 hours – medium) Time permitting on our return to Launceston we have a number of options for places to stop these include the Ashgrove Cheese Factory, Chudleigh Honey Farm and Seven Sheds Meadery & Brewery.
