Kaikoura Heli-Whale Watching Safari

Our office is located right in the centre of Kaikoura town from here enjoy complimentary transport to the helipads to receive a short safety briefing from our pilots, as well as information about the Kaikoura Whale Sanctuary and the wildlife you can expect to see on the tour. After the briefing you're ready to head out and explore what Kaikoura has to offer! View sperm whales and resident pods of dusky dolphins and New Zealand fur seals. Kaikoura is located on the the migratory routes for humpback whales, southern right whales, killer whales, and even blue whales depending on the time of year. You'll experience stunning vistas of the Seaward Kaikoura Mountain Ranges, as well as the Kaikoura Peninsula, and the vastness of the Pacific Ocean. After a successful whale sighting fly along the coastline spotting wildlife including the resident populations of dusky dolphins as well as New Zealand fur seals. Weather permitting we can do a brief alpine landing just south of Kaikoura for you to pop out of the Helicopter and get some great photographs of the area before jumping back in your Helicopter to make your way back to the airfield. Your experience ends back at the helipad where complimentary transportation is waiting for you back to your hotel or into town.
