Itinerary

The archaeological site of Muyil is located in the northern part of the Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve. The old commercial post Mayan is the ideal location to learn the introduction to history and local ecology, with picturesque Mayan temples nichlated in the semi-decidual forest. From the archeological site, Sian Ka'an starts towards the greatest point of observation to the vegetation and through freshwater lakes. A delicious vegetarian picnic with seasonal fruits are waiting for us at the end of the walk. We take a boat to two lagoons connected by a channel used for several centuries until we go to Xlapak-- a temple which is the start of the mangrove channel. We go on a 30-minute float with orchids and bromeliades, listening to bird songs and wind down through the savannah -- a truly unique and soothing experience in nature.
