Itinerary

This full-day excursion takes up to 16 passengers to explore one of the roughest and most beautiful places in the Beagle Channel. It is the perfect excursion to discover and observe the local fauna, such as Patagonian birds and penguins. Combined relaxation, discoveries and sports, this journey takes you to the heart of the Tierra del Fuego National Park and will make you feel you are at the end of the world. Once we arrive to Lasiphashaj River and slip on our rubber boots, over-pants and life-jackets provided for us, we'll begin our canoeing adventure down the river, which stretches all the way to the ocean. As we canoe through Beagle Channel, we'll set course to the Harberton ranch, one of the oldest in the region, founded in 1887 by Thomas Bridges, an English Missionary. Those who do not want to go on a canoe excursion will be directly taken to the Harberton ranch, where they can enjoy a relaxing time while enjoying the view and wildlife. Along the way we may encounter wildlife such as sea birds. Also, it is not unusual to find sea lions sunbathing in little islands in our way to Harberton port. After 2 hours on the rafts and a short stop on land at the ranch, we will leave on a motor boat towards Martillo Island, where we'll have the chance to see penguins in their breeding lair. There, you will discover how friendly and funny penguins are. Then the motor boat will take us to our main attraction: Gable Island, where we will have some snacks, good wine and a delicious meal. After a nice cup of coffee, we will go for a hike to know more of this gorgeous island, crossing over beaver dams and through the forest to reach the Beagle Channel shore where we'll take the boat to start our return to Ushuaia.
