Itinerary

Embark upon a captivating guided tour of the Palace of Versailles. Combining classic and baroque architectural styles, the palace has been a UNESCO World Heritage Centre for 30 years. You'll instantly feel the grandeur of King Louis XIV's court as you visit the Hall of Mirrors, Royal Apartments and French gardens designed by Le Notre. Everything in Versailles inspires elegance, perfection and harmony. It's a genuine 17th century masterpiece, and a symbol of the Sun King's absolute power. Throughout his entire reign, he extended and embellished both the palace and the gardens. We'll go on a guided visit of the State Apartments (Hall of Mirrors, King's and Queen's Bedroom) and the Gardens of Versailles, then enjoy lunch in the restaurant La Petite Venise near the Grand Canal, beverage included. **Menu (subject to modification)** - Arugula salad with Parmesan - Chicken breast, mashed potatoes with olive oil - Chocolate fudge cake - Coffee - 1/4 bottle of mineral water - 1 glass of red wine du Pays de Gard During the afternoon, we'll take a guided tour of the Petit Trianon and Grand Trianon, followed by Marie-Antoinette's Hamlet. You'll have free time to walk the gardens before we regroup for the return trip to Paris.

  • There is no hotel pick-up for this tour service. Please arrive at 2 rue des Pyramides (near the Louvre museum) by 8:15am. This should give you sufficient time for check-in and boarding before scheduled departure at 8:45am.
  • Those requiring hotel pick-up should book the Small Group Tour of Versailles Palace and Trianons w/ Hotel Transfers
  • During the winter, we'll ride the mini train across the gardens to the Trianons. During the summer, we'll walk through the gardens to the Trianons.
  • Flat shoes are highly recommended (parquet flooring in the palace's rooms and cobblestones in the courtyard).
  • Strollers are not permitted in the palace or the two Trianons.
  • Excursion not recommended for those with walking difficulties or reduced mobility as it involves about three hours of brisk walking.
