I booked this a week in advance and was contacted the night prior to my reservation. Hend , our travel guide, provided my wife and I an unforgettable experience. While this sounds cliche, it really was an absolute bargain for the treatment ..we received. Our guide, Manar, and our driver, picked us up at the entrance of our hotel at 8 am sharp. She was an expert at the information she provided (a certified Egyptologist with graduate level experience on the matter). She provided us 9.5 hours of tour guidance (more than expected) and a wealth of information. Egypt is a place we had never been, so we were a bit apprehensive of buying souvenirs and navigating some of the archaeological sites. Manar took us to unique and authentic shops where she helped us get excellent prices and guided us away from bad deals. I forgot to mention, she is also a photographer, so if you’ve got a good camera or smartphone, she takes wonderful shots. The best bargain we received while visiting Cairo was hands down the tour guidance. My wife and I fell in love with the city and the incredible sights because of the guidance and information she provided on our excursion. Yes, you can see the sights without a tour guide, but having a personal driver and an expert on the tours will make your stay stress free.
