This unincorporated coastal area in Monterey County, California is famous for its golf course Pebble Beach Golf Links, which opened in 1919 and was ranked the Greatest Public Golf Course in the United States by Golf Digest magazine for 2013-14. There are actually eight total golf courses in Pebble Beach. The scenic community also is known by the Lone Cypress Tree viewed from 17-Mile Drive.
