No Aztec Empire experience is complete without a trip to Teotihuacan, the ruins of an expansive Mesoamerican metropolis now designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At its zenith between the 1st and 7th centuries A.D., Teotihuacan was the largest city in the pre-Columbian Americas.
