After meeting your expert, local guide, we'll begin our tour with the famous Colosseum. Access the Colosseum with no line and be ready to enter into the legend. Learn about architecture and history of this massive amphitheater which hosted ancient Romans, Senators, Emperors and Gladiators as well as animals from all over the world. Then we'll transfer from the Archaeological Area to the Vatican Museums.
Home to 54 different galleries including four statue museums: Museo Pio-Clementino, Museo Chiaramonti, Museo Gregoriano Etrusco and the Museo Gregoriano Egiziano. These museums are home to some of the most famous works of art in the world, with artists including: Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Carvaggio, Raphael and Giotto, to name a few. Following our exploration of the first 53 galleries, we'll head to the most famous: the Sistine Chapel. Over 500 years old, the Sistine Chapel is arguably the most famous chapel in the world, largely because of Michelangelo world-famous fresco.From here we'll visit the largest basilica and pilgrimage site in the world: St. Peter's Basilica.
