ITINERARY:

Spend an amazing 3 days travelling along the Great Ocean Road Grampians National Park adventure tour with private accommodation. Visit some stunning places including the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, Mackenzie Falls, Halls Gap and some other magnificent sights throughout the region. Return to Melbourne arriving early evening.

Day 1: Melbourne - Warrnambool

Start your 3-Day adventure by exploring the world-famous Great Ocean Road with its stunning ocean views and surf beaches. Spot wild koalas along the way with a stop in the quaint seaside town of Apollo Bay for lunch, followed by a guided rainforest walk in the Great Otway National Park rainforest. Later, we visited the amazing shipwreck coast famous for the Twelve Apostles rock formation and Loch Ard Gorge. Overnight in Warrnambool. Meals: N/A. Accom: Downtown Motel Private Rooms (with ensuite bathroom) or similar alternative. Driving Distance: 360km. 

Day 2: Warrnambool - Halls Gap

On the second day, visit the Tower Hill Conservation Wildlife Reserve, an extinct volcano, rich in Aboriginal history and an abundance of wildlife. Later hike up to the iconic Pinnacle lookout with an amazing view over the Grampians. Finish the day with a traditional Aussie BBQ and overnight stay in Halls Gap. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner. Accom: Gariwerd Motel Private Rooms (with ensuite bathroom) or similar alternative. Driving Distance: 190km. Hike Distance: 4.5km.

Day 3: Halls Gap - Melbourne

On the last day of the journey, hike to the base of Mackenzie Falls, then check out some other famed sights such as Boroka Lookout and The Balconies. After an incredible few days exploring the coastline and mountain ranges, we make our way back to Melbourne arriving around 5:30pm. Meals: Breakfast. Accom: N/A. Driving Distance: 290km. Hike Distance: 2km.

1 Litre water bottle, overnight bag & small day pack, any medications you usually take, please ensure you pack appropriately, all weather conditions, warm jacket, thermals (advisable for the colder months), comfortable walking shoes with tread, hat, sunscreen & sunglasses, swimmers, towel & toiletries, camp torch/headlamp, camera.

Private motel accommodation fares apply to Adults & Children. Single Rooms are adults only. Children aged between 6 to 17 years old are required to stay in a private double or twin room and must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian. This tour is not suitable for infants or children 5 years and under.

Walks will be at the guide’s discretion to ensure the safety of guests. Therefore a medium/high level of fitness is required and a doctor’s certificate is required for people over 70 years (30-days prior to travel).
  • Private motel accommodation fares apply to Adults & Children and over. Single Rooms are for adults only.
  • Children aged between 6 to 17 years old are required to stay in a private double or twin room and must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian. This tour is not suitable for infants or children 5 years and under.
  • All accommodation upgrades are subject to availability and on request.
  • A similar alternative will be provided should any of our normal scheduled stops be closed for any reason. Itineraries may vary to adapt to seasonal changes and occasionally park closures. - More than 33 days prior to departure date: we will refund the balance paid by you in connection to your booking less any unrecoverable costs.
- Less than 32 days but 10 days prior to departure date: we will hold 100% of monies paid by you as a credit voucher, valid for redemption within 3-years from the date of purchase, any credit voucher resulting from cancellation may be applied towards any other tour operated by GLT within Australia;
